How are you after our short festival break? I hope you had a good time away from classes.
Today, we read the first part of our new theme together about our earth. Here are two short videos I'd like you to watch for homework.
One is a video about commercial fishing for cod (タラ「鱈」) in Iceland. Check it out here:
Another is one for commercial fishing in Thailand. See it here:
Watch both these videos and note how different the ways are the people catch their fish. Note down:
1. How many people are involved in the fishing.
2. What equipment they use.
3. Who they seem to be working for (companies, or themselves).
Plus answer this question: are both of these ways of catching fish used in Japan?
