How are you? Here's the information about our second (2nd) presentation topics. While I have given all of you the handouts about the project, I will post it here as another way to help remind all of you about the presentations, and what you can do for them.
Topics
For
A英1, here are your choice
of topics. You can choose one (1) of these:
•
Famous individual Japanese artists or craftspeople from the past or present
•
Issues in aquaculture (fish-based versus meat-based diets, future of
fish-based diets and climate change, etc.)
•
Problems and solutions of learning a foreign language
For
B英1, here are your choice
of topics. You can choose one (1) of these:
•
Individual 19th or 20th century Japanese or foreign artists (painters,
sculptors, photographers, printmakers, etc.)
•
Weather phenomena (typhoons, cyclones, hurricanes, etc.) and effects of
climate change
•
Educational models (individual examples of exceptional learning such as
Helen Keller, or methods of learning such as Steiner or Montessori schools)
Deadlines (締め切り)
For A英1
(月・2 ):
Your presentation day will be on December 4th (12/4), so you have three (3) weeks to prepare them. Please
be ready on the day to present.

Your presentation day will be on December 8th (12/8), so you have four (4) weeks to prepare them (Please
remember that I will be away on 11/24 – there is no class that day). Please be
ready on December 8th to present.

Guidelines (for all classes)
1. Prepare a summary (要約) with your partners about
the topic you want to present on. The summary will be due:
A英1 (月・2): Monday, November 27th (11/27「月」)
B英1 (金・1): Friday, December 1st (12/1「金」)

2. With your classmates,
fill in the topic preparation sheet
that comes with the handout. There is a section on it to fill out the
summary. This is a working record of your group’s preparation about your topic.
3. Be ready for me to review your progress next
week and for your group to practice
your presentation in-class. You can practice with me and/or other groups of students.
4. Finalize your presentation outside of class and be ready to present on the day of your class!
