Hello!
How are you? Here are the topics and guidelines for our third (3rd) presentation projects for this
year.
This is our third
presentation cycle because of my mistake in overlooking our second presentations
from the second quarter in the spring. That is my fault! I am very sorry about
that.
While I have given all of you the handout about the
assignment, I am posting it here as well to help remind all of you about what
you can do for it.
Topics
Choose one (1) of these topics:
- Key inventions or discoveries in science and engineering from the Industrial Revolution
- Problems and solutions of learning a foreign language or an interesting point about a foreign educational system
Deadline (締め切り)
Your presentation day will be
on November 19th (11/19), so you have three (3) weeks to
prepare them. Please be ready on the day to present.
Guidelines
1. Write a summary (要約) with your
partners about the topic you want to present on. The summary will be due next week (来週).
*Go to this link for a review of what should go into a summary. The link is a post about summaries and outlines - for now, only look at the part about summaries! I hope this can help you in your summary writing.

2. With your
classmates, fill in the topic
preparation sheet that comes with this handout. There is a section on it to
write in the summary. This is a working
record of your group’s preparation
about your topic.
3. Be ready for me to review your progress next
week and for your group to practice
your presentation in-class on November 12th (11/12). You can practice with me and/or other groups of
students.
4. Finalize your presentation outside of
class and be ready to present on 11/19!
Good luck! I look forward to our presentation day!
See you next time!
