東京理科大学 A英1: 1st presentation topic・プレゼンテーション 1

Hello!

How are you? Today I will show you our first (1st) presentations

While I have already given you the handouts about the presentations, I am posting about them here as another way to help remind you about what you can do.

Topics
Here are your choice of topics. You can choose one (1) of these:

Problems and issues of international relations
Issues and solutions about the environment
Facts and other interesting things about space or our solar system

Deadline (締め切り)
Your presentation day will be on June 4th (6/4), so you have two (2) week(s) to prepare them. Please be ready on the day to present

Guidelines
1. Prepare a summary (要約) with your partners about the topic you want to present on. The summary will be due next week. Here are the presentation groups:

NEW NOTE - the summary should have a short introduction showing the topic and any issues or problems, or interesting points about it. Then you and your partners should show that you will then present on what these issues, problems, or points are. It should be short, and indicate (指し示して) what aspect of the topic (話題の向きyou will present on. Here is an example:

例えば:While the Earth has the volume of water to sustain life, researchers believe that traces of water exist on the other planets of the Solar System. In our presentation, we will look at the planets in our Solar System that are likely to have water, and if so, what kinds of life they may be able to sustain.

2. With your partners, fill in the topic preparation sheet that comes with the handout. There is a section on it to fill out the summary. This is a working record of your group’s preparation about your topic.

3. Be ready for me to review your progress next week and for your group to practice your presentation in-class. You can practice with me and/or other group of students.

* This is very important! Your group doesn't have to have the presentation 100% finished - but you have to have enough content so you can practice!

4. Finalize your presentation outside of class and be ready to present on the day of your class!
Good luck! See you next time!
