特別ポスト - ECA (英語基礎表現) II (Super A): Places and Traces (Part 2)

Hello again!

How are you? Here is a second part to your great collection of writing on places, Places & Traces

The picture you see at the top is a personal one of mine that I never showed you before, but perhaps would inspire some interesting feelings. What would you have thought of it? Perhaps I should use this for our next group of Super A students from April of next year! What do you think?

Now let's see some more great writing! Here's one on this place:

I think this place was the USA, but a bad thing happened in there. This building was the most famous hotel in the USA. A lot of people stayed here and enjoyed many activities around there but this hotel became a target of terrorists!! One day bombing happened at there!!

It was the fine daytime of one day. Five men checked in this hotel. They looked kind, strong and around 30. They opened their trunks in their room. You think there were some goods to stay, but some bombs in there!! They took a walk inside of the hotel till the time of dinner. However, in fact, they went to set bombs. These were time bombs so they set time after they leave there.

Next day, they prepared to leave there. The interphone of the room rang before 30 minutes they left. One of them opened the door, there was a police man. He said that I arrest you. They arrested after all.

Why was the crime found? Since, a girl saw one of them set bomb. She told it to her mother and she told it to hotelman. He called police man during terrorists had a dinner. Police man checked it was bomb. They checked the surveillance camera but did not be careful around them so they were caught.

Wow! Now check these ones out from this image below. This one inspired some interesting impressions. Here's the first:

There was a couple, Jimmy and Carole. Jimmy used to play a guitar in his early life. He was very passionate about the music. Carole used to take piano lessons when she was in elementary school. She hated the instructor so she stopped going to the piano lessons, but she still loved the sound of piano. When she enters high school, she saw a guy with a nice curly dark brown hair, sitting by the corner. He took his American Spirits cigarette out of his pocket, and sensed someone gazing at him.

That was their first time meeting each other. They got attached as long as they got to know each other. They went out for couple years. One day in the summer, Jimmy found out that there will be a big music festival in the autumn. He took Carole to the festival. The festival was packed with a many people. The festival lasted a week. Everyone got so tired, but Jimmy was not tired. Actually he was very nervous, because he had a plan to propose her on the last day. The last day of the festival came. Jimmy woke Carole before the sunrise to propose. He kneed down, held hands, asked her, “Carole, will you marry me?” She said “Yes.” They hugged and kissed each other in the warming sunrise. It was that moment when the camera shutter closed.

Now that's a story. Quite moving! Here's another on the same image - check it out after the page break:

This place was a thriving area and streets in this town were always crowded with inhabitants and tourists from all over the world, because of its beautiful nature and famous spots like Grand Canyon in the U.S, Shirakami-sanchi in Japan. They were so beautiful and had a peculiar atmosphere that tourists came here all year.

A few years ago, there was a little problem between this area and nearby area. At first the people who lived in these areas took it for not worrying thing. They thought it was just a little thing, but this problem grew to be a war little by little without awareness of the people.

The war was very severe. there were many soldiers from two areas, even just children. Owing to a lot of gun battles and explosive arms, this war brought the soldiers, the people and these area death and destructions. After war these became a burn-out area that used to be beautiful and thriving, and many people passed away without their wishing.

An incredible feeling here. Yet also look at this one too - also a different impression, and completely unlike the ones before.

In the ancient age, there was a man who worked in the sea and he brought his passengers from Italy to Israel. His name was Michael. He looked so tough but he had great kindness in his heart. His brown eyes were full of love and many people liked his gentle smile. He was poor but he was happy because all the man around him loved him and God he believed so much loved him, too.

One day, when he was waiting for his passenger in Italy, a beautiful woman came and asked, “Would you bring me to Israel? I have to go.” She had long blond hair with a glossy sheen, her blue eyes were so fascinating and her thick lips were attractive. She was well dresses in red and it made her more and more wonderful. As soon as Michael looked at the woman, he fell in love with her. Then, he said to God, “I love you and my heart must not be changed in the future, but I come to love another now. Do not get angry and let me marry to her with your power.”

Eight months later, there was Michael with the smiling woman dressed in pure white in the restaurant near the sea. Michael’s father got drunk because of red wine and his wife enjoyed talking with the mother of Michael’s new wife. Michael’s wish came true because of the special power and love of God. He and his new wife were happier. God was also happier and thought how nice this moment was.

But the happiest time for the two and God was not long. It was four years later that his wife came down with an illness. She had a fever and she felt thirsty all the time. As time passed, her condition was paler and paler. Her beautiful face was full of pain and with tears in her big blue eyes. Michael did not sleep well at night because he thought that his wife might die during his sleeping. He has lost his weight and become thinner and thinner and his eyes lost vitality. Everyone around him could not see his gentle smile they loved anymore.

After a year, Michael’s wife went to where God was. He did not cry but he was in grief. He did not work because his boat had too much memory with his wife. He wanted to see smile of his wife again. He did try to go where his wife was. He has not eaten anything for three days. God looked at all the thing and it knew hope of the poor man. His hope was against natural system in this world God created and God knew granting his hope was bad for all the human being. Michael did not know that God was also in grief. He said to God, “I loved you so much, but I cannot love you now. You took the most important woman for me to yourself. I lost every joy and happiness. Could you give my wife back?” God cries not because of Michael’s sorrow but loss of love. God wanted Michael to feel love again so God made a decision.

One morning, a blue bird came into Michael’s house from the window and took the white handkerchief of his wife. Michael tried to hold it but he could not. The bird went out of his house and flew. He ran after the bird and got to his boat. He looked at the bird, which was about to come into his boat. He ran up to it and was surprised because there was his beautiful wife in his boat. Michael hugged his wife very strongly.

But when he died, he could not go to the place God was in.

I don't know what to say. A story not from the Bible that could have been in there!

To anyone reading these - I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. They're from some great writing students and I'm proud of them. To see Part 1 of Places & Traces, click on this link.

To my students - take care over the holiday!

See you in 2015!
