How are you? It has taken me a long time because I have been so busy, but I have finally started to upload your wonderful writing about the photographs of places. I call this collection of your writing Places & Traces.
Look at this picture at the top. We didn't look at this picture when we were writing about places, but it could be an interesting one with many stories hidden inside. What do you think? Maybe for next year's group of Super A students, this will be a picture that could inspire them to make interesting and moving stories - just as you made interesting and moving stories with the pictures you saw this semester.

Here's the first section of writing about the following picture. Read these again!
Long long ago, a young man became a pirate after he ran away from home and joined the crew on a privateering ship. One day, he dreamt there be treasure on the sandy shore. So the next day he began to dig. He dug until the hole was deep and the dirt pile was high. He kept digging and sighed “I’m tired, I can’t dig anymore.” Then he spied something. But he only found a pirate ship. He was quite disappointed. When he wanted to give up his friend told him “let’s get in the ship, maybe the treasure is buried in it.” Finally, they got a small box and a little treasure. They took the treasure away but left the abandoned pirate ship on the sandy shore. Now, we can see it on picture.
Terrific! Now check this one out:
1985, the Moretzs moved in this house. They came from Canada. The family has a teenage son and parents looked too old, but they looked happy and very kindness, so neighbors are liked they and son made many friends in new high school.
One day son took high school friends in his house, and they played some games and talked with. It was just looks fun and they had a good time, but next day son lose any friends, because one friend saw strange something, but it will never get clear, because the friend gone somewhere. The Moretzs house was sometimes strange. Sometimes the house looks empty, no lights and very silent. In 1986 Jun 6th, it just happened. Someone screamed. It heard at the Moretzs house in the midnight, and it was very noisy, so neighbor went to Moretz house and said to they “What happened!? It’s 2 o’clock! Please be quiet!” but they still noisy, so neighbor called police. Then police knocked door but they did not answer, so police kicked door and looked around house, but the Moretzs were not in there. They are never appeared.
This trouble get difficult and mystery. In 2001, the police found the letter in the house. The letter was behind shelf. It written “Don’t find us. And don’t open the box. Andrew.” Who is the Andrew? The friend who was gone? Or son? It does not still clear. Also box does not find yet now.
If somebody lived in this house, maybe something strange happened. Also nobody live in this house now.
So where are the Moretzes? Who were they? Were they even a real family? Who knows…but it makes for a great story!

The sea water is the bright incomparable sky-blue. It’s a beautiful day
for the beach. Crowds are heading to the ocean shore. Beach towel dot the sand
with color. Plastic buckets and balls roll round in the breeze. You can swim,
you can wade or just rest. There are lots of things to do. It seems that people
bring all the activities to the beach. But the sandy shore is a busy place even
without tourists.
Look! There is an abandoned pirate ship on the sandy shore. Do you want
to know more about the abandoned ship? Let me tell you.

My imagination story is this ship was a
ship of the adventure and he went to many countries with his friends and had an
adventure. When he arrived at the country, he went to the forest. Sometimes met
with a dangerous animals. But they continued having an adventure. Because it
was their definite aim to have an adventure.
However,
a certain night that passed after 25 years from starting adventure from the shore. The sea was very rough on that day, and
storm was taking place. The ship adventures boarded was going to escape from a
storm. But the ship was rolled up in a storm, and the ship has been damaged.
Many friends fell to sea. The ship finally arrived at a certain shore help the
thing which survived and lived happily there which with eternity. They are
pirates.

Many years ago, there was a big ship
like Titanic. The ship was on the Atlantic Ocean. There was a lot of passengers
on it and they had a big party there. They drank a lot, danced a lot. Then some
people played billiards, some people played cards, and the other people did own
things in their own rooms. The Atlantic Ocean kept calm for a long time, but
suddenly, there was a big storm and a big thunder. The ship shook strongly and
people on the ship were in a mess. Some people fell, some people hit their bodies,
and some people shouted hysterically. People couldn’t calmed down. Then, a man,
who called Jack and he was the insane, used a knife to kill other people
swiftly. Next morning, the storm was gone and the ship arrived at a small
beach. Unfortunately, no one was saved at last except Jack.

In the picture I can feel the nature because I can see around
the house many many trees, and around close the house, I don’t see any other
house. Maybe there are, but not in close the house.
I see in the picture a small house I think it have a small
family who lives in the house and having good time. When I see it, I guess
it has a family like grandmother, mother, father and daughter plus a cute
cat. Everyday the grandmother stays in the house and the rest of the family will
go out to going at work, try to got money for eating and things.
In the summer the house is very hot because the house is
really small size so, it doesn't have air conditioning, so that’s why in summer the small
family going out to get lunch and try to have a good time there.
But in winter time the house is very nice because the small
family doesn’t need to warm the house and they don’t need to spend money for
electricity. So, in the winter time the family doesn’t need to go out for having
lunch or having good time there.
That’s why I think it is very nice to live in a small house like this, with your small family and your cute cat.

I was surprised to look this blog because I didn't think my writing was appeared. All classmates' writing are high level!
It was interesting for me to do this assignment. Although making stories are difficult, imagining is free and writing English is fun. Also this assignment was first assignment of super A class for me. The picture was easy to imagine a story.
I'm glad you feel this way. This year's group of Super A students have been great - and that means you too! Making stories might be difficult, but you and your classmates worked hard at it and made it happen. Thank you for your great effort and I'm glad you got something from this assignment.
