特別ポスト「こども」: 日系ブラジール教育, 雇用の問題

Hello to my Kodomo students,

How are you? Today, let's start our special topic - about Japanese-Brazilians (日系ブラジール人) and some problems they have living in Japan.

The picture at the top of this post is an educational center for Japanese-Brazilian people. There are many Japanese-Brazilians living in Japan.

Here is a video about a Brazilian school in Japan. It is having a difficult time. It is difficult for the school to stay open and teach the children.

Watch this video. What do you think of this school? Make some notes in your notebook about the video (you can write your notes in Japanese or English). When you are finished, answer these questions:

1. Where is the school in Japan?
2. What is the name of the school?
3. What job does Okumura-san's husband have?
4. How much money do they need for a loan?
5. When did Japanese-Brazilians start coming to Japan?
6. How much money does it cost to go to the school every month?
7. Why are some Japanese-Brazilians going back to Brazil?
8. What class was in the room Nakata-san shows on the video?
9. How many students were there last year?
10. How much money did Nara-san get in salary in December?

We will make some presentations about immigrants (移民) and the problems (問題) they have in Japan.

I hope this has been interesting for you. Take care!
