Hello!
Take a look at the picture above. It's the famous one of Albert Einstein sticking his tongue out at the camera. What were his greatest achievements? What impact has he had on science - and the world?
These questions, and other questions like these, are examples of the kinds of things that you can explore with your most admired figure in science or technology!
How are you? How was your Golden Week?
Today, I'll introduce our 1st presentation topic - a profile about a unique or interesting scientist, engineer, inventor, or other figure from science or technology, with a one-sided argument about what you admire about the person, or what you believe the person’s greatest achievements are (or were).

Deadline (締め切り)
We will do these on May 21st (5/21).
Guidelines
1. Prepare a summary (要約) about who you want to present on.
*You will see the topic preparation sheet & classmate evaluation sheet that comes with the handout. The preparation part of the sheet is a working record of your preparation about your topic, and you are free to use it if you like. The classmate evaluation sheet is what you will use to evaluate your classmates in your presentation group.
You do not have to use the preparation part of the sheet if you don't want. But there is a section on it to fill out the summary - which you are required to fill out and hand in with your evaluation sheet.

2. Make a small, A3-sized poster about your profile figure and be ready for the presentation day (5/21)! We will first practice our presentations next week (5/14) and then do the real presentations on the presentation day.
Good luck and have fun! I'll look forward to seeing your great work about your most admired figures from science or technology.
See you next time!
