東京理科大学 B英1: A fun quiz on artists・画家の楽しみクイズ

Hello!

How are you? Today I thought I would try an activity I hope you'll enjoy: A fun kind of quiz about Western painters.

The painting above is by a 20th century French cubist artist, Jean Metzinger. This is his painting of a soldier playing chess.

While this is a great example of cubist painting and the following images include some cubist pictures, not all of them are cubist or realist - I thought I would give you a short history of Western art since the Italian Renaissance just for fun!

The word "quiz" might sound boring, or even a little scary - but this is only in fun and nothing more. No-one has to keep score, including me! So this isn't anything like a test.

Activity
Look at these paintings below. Who painted them? Take some guesses - but please remember that this isn't a serious quiz. You don't have to keep score, and you don't have to feel bad if you get any of the answers wrong! But let's try!
