Here are some ideas to think about for your topics:
Nozomu - think about two or three different food cultures around the world (outside of Japan). Why do people in these cultures eat the food they do? Why do they have the eating manners they do? (For example, why do people in some cultures eat with their hands, which some use chopsticks and others knives and forks?)

Naoki - gender issues (性別の問題) is a big area. Where do you want to focus on? In jobs, or education, or maybe in science or entertainment? Also what country? Japan, or another country?

In the U.K., there are big differences between northern and southern England - also some different accents, different food, and so on. Scotland and Wales also - different in many ways from England.
