Hello!
Here are the topics,
deadline, and guidelines for our first presentation topics. While I have given you the handouts about the presentation, I will post it here as another way for you to remember what to take care of.
Topics
Here are your choice
of topics. You can choose one (1) of these:
•
Problems and issues in the Pacific Rim
•
Problems and solutions of population density and distribution
•
Issues and ambitions of space exploration
Deadline (締め切り)
Our presentation day will be on June 23rd
(6/23), so you have two (2) week(s) to prepare. Please be ready on
the day to present.
Guidelines
1. Prepare a summary (要約) with your partners about
what you want to present on. The summary will be due next week on June 16th
(6/16).
2. With your classmates,
fill in the topic preparation sheet
that comes with this handout. There is a section on it to fill out
the summary. This is a working record of your group’s preparation about your topic.
3. Be ready for me to review your progress next
week (6/16) and for your group to practice
your presentation in-class. You can practice with me and/or other groups of students.
4. Finalize your presentation outside of class and be ready to present on 6/23!
IMPORTANT
NOTES
All groups are free to choose to make a Power Point
shows or posters, but:
· I
cannot provide computers, tablets, or
iPads to you if you go with Power Point – the groups who want to do Power Point
shows must bring their own devices! So…
· If
your group uses a computer, back your Power Point slides up on a USB
· If
you use a tablet or iPad, back your show up on a cloud like Dropbox, or on
Google Drive - or on some other web-based backup
· For
groups who want to do posters, go for A3 size or larger (if possible)
I will post on my blog some Power Point tips and
hints for you early next week – check my blog and look for those tips and
hints!
One more very special note - you and your group
members have to be ready to present.
If your group is not ready, you cannot
present - and your group will have to immediately leave the class on that
day.
Good
luck! I look forward to our presentation day!
