How are you? Let's learn about how to describe and characterize people (人物を描写、性格描写).

Activity/homework
Look at these pictures. Talk and write about the people in these pictures. The picture at the top of this post is an example (例えば):

This person has black shoulder-length hair and dark eyes. She's thin and good-looking. 

Now try to write some extra details about their clothes (洋服がさらに細かい描写): 

She's wearing a black sweater and gray scarf with blue jeans. 

So, your description (描写) so far looks like this: 

This person has black shoulder-length hair and dark eyes. She's thin and good-looking. She's wearing a black sweater and gray scarf with blue jeans. 

Finally - add some characterization (性格): 

She looks serious, and even might be a little dangerous.

So - your description and characterization could look like this: 

This person has black shoulder-length hair and dark eyes. She's thin and good-looking. She's wearing a black sweater and gray scarf with blue jeans. She looks serious, and even might be a little dangerous.
